My decision concerning the STYG Videos I captured in Karlsruhe few days ago is to do some kind of double feature on both vimeo and also on my new youtube account I created last week.
So on Vimeo you will find the video of ‘Amber’, and on Youtube you’ll be viewing ‘What Goes Around’ each containing a link to each other. Why? I’m sure this will gain more attention than only using one platform or only using one video on both. The other reason ist hat I wanted to figure out how a grayscaled video would turn out.
I just edited some nice opening and ending titles using one of my favourite fonts called ‘League Gothic’. You can download it for free on The League of Moveable Type. In my opinion titles are connotations of high quality. E.g. the fact that somebody had some work with them.
Both videos are still uploading. I’m going to post them here, so be sure checking out my tumblr in the next days and hours.
Cheers for the follow man, read your write up of the Kids 'We Used To Be Tour' and watch the Break Even vid.
I'm at the Southampton leg on Sunday you've just made me more stoked for it!
you’ll love it - the bands are in top condition and the setlists are burners! If you enjoyed the Break Even vid I’m sure you’ll also like the upcoming stuff I’m going to be uploading during the next days.
I just spent 65 Euro on 30 movies, some of them having bonus discs. Was it a good deal or was it pure madness? Or is it a win for the film industry that a few movies are copied legally instead of being ripped or streamed?
I fear the bad thing about it will be that in the end they just fill my shelves. Or is this a good thing because an empty DVD shelf looks incredible poor when you say you love movies?
I really don’t know how to answer these questions. But I know there will be movies. And there will be some nice guys to join me watching some classics.
Directing music videos can be a ladder to “real” filmmaking. Just think about the many directors who started in the music industry. It’s such a big market. Nowadays every band has the possibilities because good equipment is getting less expensive and knowlegde is shared via the internet.
I also plan to do some music videos to start my career and I’ convinced that I’m one of a thousand with this intention. So I have to be the best out of a thousand to reach the next step in filmmaking career. Always aiming for the best.
Another possibility is making yourself a name in the advertising industry. Zack Snyder has been in this business before he created those visual orgasms like Watchmen or 300. Thinking about music videos and advertising leads me to a name I discovered in June 2009. Dougal Wilson. But this is another story.
So for the next days I will post some music videos I recently saw and liked. This will also reveal my musical taste, haha.
