Gotta see this movie! Dear cinema, Iā€™m coming for ya this weekend!

This fanmade music video only represents one of the film’s two storylines. Makes sense for the song. But the storylines are so bound to each other that I really miss everything in this one… hm. Incredible soundtrack, though. Just listen.

Had a brilliant weekend full of great and awkward moments. Films like ‘Drive’ are making me feel alive. Really loved everything about this movie. The always changing speed, the mixed feelings, the silent parts, the long shots – it made my heart beating. And my stomach turn around. Such films are the things I’m living for.

Loved this movie.Couldn’t stop grinning because of two special details. The background music in the tattoo studio was Ulver’s ‘In The Red’ (YouTube). Blood Inside is one of my favourite albums ever made. Also Martin offers Mikael a drink. And it’s a Bruichladdich. I just finished mine (12 yo, 2nd edt.) and I’m ready to sleep…

Guess what what film I was in the cinema for yesterday. It’s been one of those my girlfriend, Cosima, always wanted to see but missed the chance when it came out.
The ‘Schauburg' in Karlsruhe, Germany regularly shows older movies, and it's also one of few cinemas in the region which shows movies in their original language. As non-German you must know, that nearly everything gets translated and synchronised here. That's one of the reasons why we Germans are so bad in English, haha, compared to our (smaller) geographical neighbours.I barely understood only half of the film – the last time I saw it was when it came out three years ago. In German. Cosima, also had her problems with getting along with the speed and complex content of the scenes. The Dark Knight is one of those films which belong on the big screens, pushed through the big speakers. It’s made for the cinema. And that’s why I was so happy when I found out accidentially that the Schauburg was screening it again for one unique time.

I don’t always like the fish-eye look. But in this film it’s brilliantly used.
